Lots of Photo's!

Sorry photo overload on this post! Pictures from our trip to Filey! Little dear on Filey beach, Mum & Dad in beach tent reading magazines and listening to Ipod.
We went on one of the pedalo's and it did not sink!

Little dear racing around the track, she did ever so well, she even left 2 older boys for dust!

Little dear on the trampoline, £1.20 for 5 minutes. In which case this means I own my friend £000's for all the time little dear spends on there trampoline.

Little dear on a pony called Tilly, she did not want to go on one, but choose Tilly as we were walking past and we had to wait a further 20 minutes as Tilly was very popular. She absolutely loved it, so come her next birthday (4) she will be riding!

The boat even came out for us, it was only out of it's garage as the RNLI were fun raising in it.

This ones for Sara, Yum Yum! Gorgeous chocolate cake with black cherry and fresh cream filling and Cadbury's chocolate on the top! ***Update oh my god the best cake I have ever made!***

My veg patch is coming on a treat, the lettuces are actually beginning to look like lettuces.

My only purchase from a car boot sale ever, a herb rack that I have painted pink to put my new stock on when I attend my fairs.

I purchased 2 of these dishes from Etsy, they were so gorgeous I decided to get the lady in the States to make me some up, so some are my own design, they are 2 1/2 inches rounds and are a great gift as they say exactly what you need it too. If anyone is interested I am selling them for £5.95 + postage.

These are my favourites!
I have purchased a Clothkits skirt for my little dear, so I will post pictures on how it's going next time. I decided on one of the skirts as most of the skirts in the shop would make my little dear look like a slut! She is only 3 and sometimes I feel high street retailers think they are 3 going on 13, sometimes in her attitude & comments she thinks she is but at the end of the day she is only 3.
Another thing I forgot to mention was that I met Natalie from Summer by the Sea, it was great to meet someone in person, it was really strange as I did not have to introduce myself as she recognised me from my blog! We only chattered for 10 minutes as I was going down onto the beach. Great to meet you though Natalie, will pop back soon.
Have a great weekend, I'm going in the garden and tidying the house!

3 years on!

It my wedding anniversary today! We were suppose to be married in September 2004 but instead our little bundle of joy arrived by accident, very unplanned, she was born 2 days before our original wedding date.

We were married at 1.O clock at the church where I grew up, followed by a marquee down at my Ma & Pa's farm house. My parents had to delay putting there house up for sale due to our bundle of joy arriving by accident. My poor Dad's garden was trashed.

The weather was much like today very humid, I have to say it was a little bit windier.

So 3 years on are we still true loves dream, the answer is no, I could kill him at times but we do love each other very very much!

I'm really not that exciting!

After been tagged by Laurie at 23 Beech hill I thought I would answer the questions as soon as possible as I am rubbish at answering text, emails and calling people back, so this is good for me as I only got tagged yesterday.

OK, here goes the rules .... I have to answer 6 questions about myself. At the end of the post, I then tags 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read my blog. Then, I must let the person who tagged me know when I've posted my answers.

1. What was I doing 10 years ago?

My god I was working as a Training Manager for a Foreign Exchange Company. Me & hubbo decided round about now to get engaged, hubbo wanted to get engaged when I was 21, I decided I was too young and then instead got engaged at 22. Of course one year made all the difference!

2. 5 things on my to do list today?

As it's 9.10 at night I will tell you 5 things I plan to do tomorrow.

1. Finish reading my Country Living magazine.
2. Nip into town to by my fresh fruit and veg from the market.
3. Wash my hall curtains.
4. Ironing, I'm desperate as we are going to Filey on Friday and if I don't do any we will have nowt to wear.
5. Finish off taking all my craft fair stock up into my office.

3. Snacks I enjoy?

I have to say I'm a savoury girl so crisps, either Walkers Plain or at the moment I'm loving Smokey Bacon.

4.Things I would do if I were a millionaire?

How do you know I'm not! Is it the fact that I freeze my bum off on a Sunday morning in Stamford!

  • Pay off my Mortgage
  • Buy a nice bed & breakfast in Keswick
  • Buy a gift/craft shop and sell all your lovely wears.
  • Give all my family some cash.
  • Give some cash to my friends.
  • Support a charity!
  • Buy lots of nice things
  • Send my daughter to Spanish/French/Ballet/Tap/Piano lessons (I am not a pushy Mum but I would benefit from the free time.

5. Places I lived?

I was born & lived in Sheffield for the first 2 years of my live.

My parents then moved to a small village called Mattersey in between Retford and Gainsborough, we lived in 2 different houses there.

Me and hubbo(boyfriend at the time) bought our 1st home in Retford when I was 18.

We then moved back in with my parents for a year until we found the house we now live in we have been here for 6 years.

The End

I now have to tag 6 people so I hope you have not been tagged before!

Natalie @ Summer by the Sea
Carol @ Katherines Dream
Lisa @ Periwinkle
Sian @ The Diary of a Tiny Holder
Sarah @ Miss Sew & Sew
Dominique @ Shabby Shac

I hope I have not babbled on too much! Ha Ha Ha

Left out in the cold!

I have to say I was a little disappointed in the folks of Stamford! It was quite cold and there was a 'Race for Life' on close by. We arrived late as the bloody A1 was closed from Grantham right down to Stamford, so we got diverted via Melton Mowbray and Rutland Water, very nice as the views were I was in a hurry. When we arrived in Stamford, someone had pinched me stall, so we were offered 2 other stalls. I decided on the one in front of Tesco's and next to M & S, I thought the perfect pitch!! We were not told to bring roofs for the stalls either so I prayed for dry weather. Well in the end I did manage to get a roof after pleading, and to be honest my stall looked much better for it, it looked to bare without a roof. The pictures below highlight that fact.
We had a play around with the layout of the stall after the roof went on, which I believe made things look better. I did not take any new photo's.

I did sell a good variety of things and I did make money, but just not as much as I thought I would. I also think I have a couple of decent leads from it, so not all bad.
But at the end of the day I was cold and I had cut my foot. I then went to my Mum's for a lovely roast meal only then to be up all night with sickness and quitters(not from my mum's dinner a bug that little dear had Thursday).
My little dear woke up yesterday with funny blotches all over her body on top of everything else, but my Mum had to deal with her as I had not slept all night & hubbo had to sort out a boiler! It turns out on Sunday night my wonderful hubbo had bathed her in Radox. So now she is smeared in calamine lotion and taking liquid antihistamine!
So all in all a disappointing weekend, but one good thing that has come from it is that I have plenty of stock and I have lost some weight!!

Ready for the off!

No I'm not going on holiday unfortunately! I attending my 1st craft fair tomorrow(Sunday) in Stamford. I am quite looking forward to it as I love Stamford and it will be the first time I have done a fair there. I am all prepared, everything packaged up, labeled and all my new product lines are ready for the off!

If anyone is near Stamford come and say 'Hi'.

Have a good rest of the weekend.

Just wanted to say 'Good Morning'

I feel like I have been awake for hours, I first woke up at 5 O Clock then 6 O Clock and by 7 O Clock I though why not, so by 8 I had had my breakfast, polished through downstairs (Only 2 rooms) and then started on the ironing. Little dear & hubbo did not wake up until 9.15. By that time I had given up on the ironing and jumped in the shower.

We had our first BBQ last night at home, it was great I just hate cleaning the BBQ afterwards, so that's a task this morning. We are going for a walk this morning and then I have lots to do this afternoon as I have my 1st fair next Sunday!

The above picture is of my Mum, my sister and my little dear bowling. Every one says that me & my sister are twins, I some times have to double take when I walk by shop windows. The thing is she is older than me which always gives me great comfort.

Have a good day!

Seedlings & Babies!

This is me, hubbo, my little dear and my friends new baby boy Lucas. He was born on the 24th April weighing 7lbs 9oz. The cushion I am holding is something I made for him out of Heather Ross's campervan material. Me & my friend have always had this thing when ever one of us can afford a campervan we have to go and pick the other party up for days out. As yet we are both campervanless!
This is Mummy Eve with baby Lucas.

Here are my new seedlings, there are sunflowers, rudebekia's and can you see I have planted the tomato & cucumber in the grow bags as they have started to flower.

Her are my little gem lettuces just poking out there heads. I have been today to buy some french beans that are suitable to grow in a container, so my Dad says.
On my next post I will share with you pictures of my new purchase from the flea market on Friday. It a fab chair that needs recovering, I attend a Soft Furnishings & Upholstery class every Thursday night so that will be my next project after the roman blinds I am making for my studio. The studio is not finished yet but I will have the blinds & recovered my new chair.
I decided to make the plunge on Sunday morning and go to a car boot sale in search of the prize possessions that you all seem to return with. But I have to say I won't be returning soon, my opinion of them is still the same. Tatty rubbish that know one else wants and full of scutters. Sorry if I offend any of you guys out there, but I feel my local car boot has turned into a site for a lots of traders and some where people make an extra weekly income. The one thing I did come home with was a herb rack for 50p. I will paint it and put my cotton reels on it.
Any way must go as promised little dear I will take her to the park. Hope you all had a good Bank Holiday weekend!

Cheering a girl up!

My mood did not last long, all it took was a red package to arrive this morning and inside with the collaboration of Country Living & Emma Bridgewater cheered me right up. I signed up for the subscription offer in this months CL Magazine and this is my free gift! Plenty of tea & biscuits for me I feel!

I received this lovely cake from Natalie @ Summer by the Sea on Monday, its lovely Thanks! My little dear took it to school this morning to talk about, she said she stopped anyone from touching it as it's very precious (even the teachers were not allowed to touch it!)

From a previous post I mentioned about a recipe book that my little dears Pre-School had done, this is the front cover, if you look very carefully you can see me & little dear, were third in on the top line (yellow background). Not one of my most glamorous photo's!

News on the veg patch is that the lettuce seeds have come through, the tomato & cucumber plants have started to flower so they can now be planted in the grow bag! no news on the spring onions & spuds!
Thanks for the kind comments on yesterday's post, I am feeling a lot better I think the weathers helped a lot aswell.
